Endra Lost His iPod

Pretty sad. Endra lost his iPod at Plaza Semanggi, friday night. He attended to a farewell party held by a Korean staff from the office. After the party was over, he stop by at a bakery to buy some sweet-breads, only to find that he had lost his iPod. The front pocket of his packback had been half-opened and the iPod ...; there's no iPod there! Only the earphone and the USB cable. Uh, cool iPod, where are you? (Meanwhile, I have an MP3 player, which I got for free by buying a printer. But, it's very far, far away compared with the iPod.)

Hello Ati,

I was surfing through blogs, and saw your remark that you wanted to be reborn. I thought that was very curious so I wanted to talk about it for a minute.

I don't know much about Islam, but I do know that in addition to the Qu'ran, Islam believes in the writings of Moses, the prophets, the psalms, and the four gospels, which tell the life of Jesus. And Jesus, too, had spoken about being reborn.

When Jesus spoke of this, He meant to model this after His own experience: that He would die, be buried, and be raised from the dead on the third day, as the prophets foretold of Him. Thus, He would live a new life, and so would those who believe in Him. This is what He called being 'born again'. In fact, many people saw Him again after His resurrection and wrote of their experience with Him, and that's what the four gospels are all about.

Since Moses and the prophets foretold the same things, many centuries earlier, I have always thought this offered an interesting opportunity to prove that the things Jesus said and did were true. So I thought I would include a link that shows how His sufferings matched the prophecy of the old prophets.

Ati, this is especially interesting because the prophets foretold these events in first person. They used so much detail that their prophecy can be actually be woven together into story form to tell the same things. And when this is done, it sounds like Jesus Himself telling the story. I hope it will be a blessing to you and your friends to read this.

dear Loren,

Muslim believes Adam, Abraham, Ismael, Moses, David, Noah, Jesus, Muhammad and several others as some of the prophets. What I mean with 'reborn' is that in the Judgment Day, Allah will give life to the dead. And as we live again, we can read the 'record book' of our deeds in the past.

Thanks for stopping by.
